This week’s New York magazine cover story looks at what it takes to make a haunted house feel like a real place.
For example, if the house is in a haunted park, you’ll need to have a lot of lights, plenty of people, and a place to watch TV.
“If there’s a lot more people than there are lights, the house will be less of a ghost story,” said Emily Zuckerman, the managing director of The Haunted Park.
Zuckman has been a parkgoer in her 30 years and said that a haunted hotel can be a little creepy, especially if you’ve never been to a haunted room before.
“The first time I walked into a haunted restaurant, I was completely intimidated,” she said.
But there are some tips to get the experience started: “It’s best to leave your lights on.
It really does get you in the spirit.
It’s a way to start the experience.”
