Bhartis entertainment group is focused on showcasing brands such as Bhartia Group and DTH Entertainment, two of India’s biggest entertainment conglomerates.
The company has launched a brand new website, www.bhartisentertainmentsgroup.com, that is focused in providing a comprehensive list of the brands, shows and services available in the country.
It is a part of the company’s strategy to grow its content and reach a broader group of customers, it said.
The entertainment group will be the second major media company to invest in Airtes Entertainment.
In December 2017, the media group launched the Indian channel, Bhartiya Bajaj, with the aim of reaching a larger audience.
AirtEL Media is also the parent company of the popular sports channel, Star Sports.
The AirtELS Entertainment Group will have a total of 500 staff, including 60 journalists, 50 copy editors, 10 copy editors and five digital producers.
Bharti AIRTEL, the largest media group in India with a market value of $1.6 billion, has plans to build out its media operations to cater to the new media market and expand its reach.
It has also acquired a number of brands in the space including Wankedas entertainment group and Airtela Entertainment, it added.
“The group has a strong history of growth and we believe it will bring tremendous value to the market, with its core focus on brands, entertainment, news and lifestyle, and will bring its audience a greater breadth of content to choose from,” it said in a statement.
